May 21, 2026 In line with court orders and the upholding of prisoners’ rights, Honorable Additional District & Sessions Judge-IX Haripur, Mr. Taimoor, accompanied by Honorable Judicial Magistrate-I Mr. Imtiazullah, conducted a comprehensive and detailed visit to Central Jail Haripur.
During the visit, the honorable judges, accompanied by the jail administration, meticulously inspected the barracks and various branches. Their tour specifically included the jail hospital, administrative block, laboratory, cookhouse, juvenile ward, and women’s enclosure. They met with the minor detainees and female prisoners/undertrial prisoners to inquire about their issues.
During the visit, Honorable Judicial Magistrate Mr. Imtiazullah held a camp court inside the prison. Reviewing minor cases on the spot, the court issued orders for the immediate release of two detainees, which were implemented right away.
No complaints regarding the jail administration or facilities were raised by any of the prisoners or undertrial prisoners during the interactions. The honorable judges expressed deep satisfaction with prisoner welfare, discipline, and the overall situation of the jail, while praising the sincere efforts of the administration.
