Another significant milestone has been achieved in the digital transformation journey of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prisons. Under the visionary leadership of the worthy Inspector General of Prisons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Rehan Gul Khattak, the official website of Central Prison Haripur has been successfully launched: haripurprison.kp.gov.pk
This marks the 3rd official website of a correctional facility in Pakistan developed under the KP Prisons Department’s ongoing digitalization drive, following:
The initiative reflects the Department’s commitment to showcasing its progressive, reform-oriented work and to promoting prison industries through an integrated e-commerce platform — in line with the vision of the worthy Inspector General and the directives of the DIG HQ / Project Director Industries, Prison Inspectorate KP. Visitors can explore the facility’s rehabilitation and welfare initiatives, learn about educational and skill-development programs, and browse and purchase quality products crafted by inmates, directly supporting their reintegration into society.
The Department acknowledges the dedicated efforts of Mr. Najam Hussain Abbasi, Superintendent Central Prison Haripur, under whose supervision this and the preceding two prison websites have been developed. Appreciation is also extended to Mr. Naveed Ahmad, Database Administrator & Incharge IT Section, Central Prison Haripur, for his technical contribution to the successful development and launch of the website, and to Mr. Bashir Muhammad, Director IT, Home Department KP, for his continued support.
