May 21, 2026 A District Monitoring Committee, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Haripur Mr. Qamar Zia Malik, visited Central Jail Haripur. The visit was attended by officers from various departments, including District Khatib Mr. Abdul Majeed, Additional District Education Office Haripur representative Mr. Safdar Zaman, District Health Office Coordinator Dr. Hadi Raza, Social Welfare Officer Muhammad Adil Khan, and Chamber of Commerce members Aqeel Ahmed and Malik Saeed.
Superintendent of Jail Mr. Najam Abbasi briefed the committee regarding the prison. Led by the Jail Superintendent, committee members visited the jail hospital and inspected the X-ray machine available there.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the jail administration, and the committee members assured their full cooperation for the welfare of the prisoners.
