June 3, 2026 Superintendent of Central Jail Haripur, Mr. Najam Abbasi, conducted his first formal staff “roll call” today. All jail officers and subordinate personnel were present on this occasion.
During the roll call, addressing the staff, he emphasized the importance of duty and issued the following key instructions:
- All employees were directed to strictly adhere to duty timings, and no form of negligence in official duties would be tolerated.
- Personnel were ordered to remain alert to ensure foolproof jail security and maintain strict discipline.
- Emphasis was placed on adopting a polite, professional attitude within the boundaries of the law when dealing with prisoners and the public.
During the session, the jail staff brought some of their minor daily issues and difficulties to the attention of the Superintendent.
Mr. Najam Abbasi listened carefully to the staff’s concerns and assured them on the spot that all minor issues would be resolved on a priority basis as soon as possible, enabling the personnel to perform their duties with undivided focus.
The roll call concluded with the firm resolve that the entire staff will work together under the Superintendent’s leadership to further improve the administration and management of the jail.
