Representatives from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women visited Haripur Jail today, September 17, 2026.
During the visit, the delegation inspected various sections of the jail, focusing particularly on the facilities provided to female inmates, their issues, and the overall management system. The delegation also met with relevant prison officials and received a detailed briefing regarding inmate affairs.
Jail authorities briefed the delegation on administrative affairs, inmate care, security measures, and the specific amenities available to female prisoners. At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation reviewed the administration’s performance and provided necessary recommendations and guidelines for the welfare and well-being of female inmates.
