June 22, 2026 Superintendent of Jail, Mr. Najam Abbasi, accompanied by senior officials, organized a prison parade at Central Jail Haripur. He was joined on this occasion by Deputy Superintendent Moqaddas Khan, Assistant Superintendents, medical staff, teachers, and other administrative staff.
Following the parade, the Jail Superintendent conducted a detailed visit to various sensitive and important sections of the prison, which included:
- Condemned cells (death row sectors)
- Video link production room
- Juvenile barracks
During the visit, he meticulously reviewed the cleanliness arrangements within the barracks and cells.
He met individually with all the prisoners, listened to their legal and personal issues, and took immediate notice of multiple complaints, issuing directives to the relevant officers for their prompt resolution. He reaffirmed his commitment that ensuring prisoners’ rights according to the jail manual and maintaining discipline remain top priorities.
