June 18, 2026 A District Monitoring Committee, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Haripur Mr. Qamar Zia Malik, visited Central Jail Haripur. The visit was attended by officers from various departments, including Deputy Medical Superintendent Haripur Dr. Muhammad Haroon, University of Haripur Assistant Professor Dr. Muhaimin, Additional District Education Officer Mr. Safdar Zaman, Social Welfare Officer Muhammad Adil Khan, and Assistant Public Prosecutor Mr. Malik Madni Yaqoob.
Deputy Superintendent of Jail Mr. Moqaddas Khan briefed the committee regarding the prison. The members visited the jail hospital and the juvenile ward, inquiring about the issues faced by the inmates. They also met directly with the prisoners to understand their concerns.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the jail administration, and the committee members assured their full cooperation for the welfare of the prisoners.
